New Registrations:
Effective February 1, 2023, we will be accepting registrations for the 2023-2024 school year  through our new online portal, PowerSchool Enrollment.!
Tip: Before you begin, make sure you have the following documents in electronic form (image, PDF or Word document):
• Proof of identity/age with one of the following: birth certificate, passport, immigration papers, or legal adoption papers) if you are new to the HRCE;
• Proof of home address (a recently dated official government or utility document with your current address that includes your name and date, such as water bill, power bill, internet bill, home fuel bill, a tax receipt, property assessment or a mortgage contract); and
• Nova Scotia Health Card or Canadian Province Health Card or, for non-citizens while in Canada, proof of Medical Insurance Information.

Current Vanier students
Students and families will receive communication the end of this week with program selections and choices to be filled out and returned to their homeroom teacher.   We will have a meeting Feb 9 at Vanier for any Grade 6 families looking at  Late Immersion as a program choice for grade 7.  The admin team will be visiting grade 6 classrooms with information about next years program choices.

Welcoming Grade 5’s/Future Grade 6 students.
We will be reaching out to all our grade 5’s this week with communication as well.  We will send a letter and program selection letter to our elementary this week. In Grade 5 families get to decide if they are interested in joining our Band Program. Our Band teacher will provide information to our elementaries about how the Band Program.

Grade 8 Students
On Friday information was sent out to our current grade 8 students and families. We will help grade 8 students this week get their powerschools up and running if they have forgot their passwords. All grade 8’s will register on powerschools for their Lockview registration. Lockview will have the portal open for registration from Feb 6-24.
