Today is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous women, girls and two-spirited people, also known as Red Dress Day. It honours the thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirited individuals who experienced dispropotionate systematic violence, raising awareness to prompt action and justice. You may have noticed pictures hung on the school walls under red banners. These are some of the murdered and missing. May they always be remembered.
