African Heritage Month - George Dixon from Africville, Nova Scotia was the first black World Champion in any weight class.  He held three separate titles, paperweight, featherweight and bantamweight.  He fought in about 130 bouts and had more than 30 title defences.

There will be badminton club today for grades 7 & 8 from 3-5pm.

Reminder to the boys' basketball team to bring in your clean jerseys.

Grade 7 badminton today from 3-4:45pm. 

There will a girls basketball game today at MSMS.  Girls will be dismissed at 2:30pm today.

Badminton tryouts this week:

Grade 8 today from 3-4:45pm.  

Grade 7 Thursday from 3-4:45pm

Grade 6 Friday at noon and then after final cut, a practice from 3-5pm.

There will be a boys basketball game today vs MSMS.  Students will be leaving at 2:40pm. 

Girls basketball practice today after school until 4:15pm.

Student Leadership forms are due to Ms. Bowser or Ms. Pratt today!

There will be NO CAFETERIA today due to the early dismissal.

The school dance is cancelled tonight due the weather forecast.

Africian Heritage Month - Burnley Allan "Rocky" Jones was an African-Nova Scotian and an internationally known political activist in the areas of human rights, race and poverty.  He brought the Black Panther Party to Canada.

There are grade 8 Badminton Tryouts today from 3-4:45pm.  

Grade 6 & 7 list is now out for those attending the second tryout which will be Friday.  Grade 6's at noon and grade 7's from 3-4:45pm. 

Congratulations to the boys' basketball team on a well played game.  Unfortunately, they lost to  MSMS 65-44.
